1. Who We Are and What These Terms Cover
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Bulldog Plumbing LLC (“Bulldog Plumbing,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), a family-owned plumbing company servingRochester, NY and the surrounding Monroe County suburbs. They apply to your use of this website and to any plumbing service you request or receive from us.
By using this website or scheduling a service, you agree to these Terms. If a written estimate, work order, or invoice we give you for a specific job includes different terms, the written document for that job controls for that job.
2. We Are Insured
Bulldog Plumbing maintains business insurance for the work we perform. If you would like proof of coverage, ask us and we will provide a certificate of insurance before work begins. If something goes wrong on a job, please tell us right away (see Section 13) so we can make it right and, where appropriate, involve our insurance carrier.
3. Our Promise to You
No pressure, no gimmicks. Just honest plumbing done right. In practice, that means:
- Upfront pricing. We tell you the price before we start the work.
- No surprise charges. If we discover something that changes the scope or price, we stop and get your approval before doing any additional work.
- Honest recommendations. We will not pressure you into work you do not need, and we will tell you when a repair makes more sense than a replacement.
- Respect for your home. We treat your home with the same care we would want for our own family.
4. Estimates and Pricing
- Any service-call or diagnostic fee will be disclosed to you when you book, before a technician is sent to your home.
- Estimates are based on the conditions we can see and the information you give us. Unless the estimate says otherwise, an estimate is valid for 30 days.
- Plumbing is often hidden inside walls, floors, and underground. If we uncover conditions that could not reasonably be seen when we gave the estimate, we will explain what we found and give you a revised price. No additional work will be done without your approval. If you decline, you pay only for the work already completed.
5. Emergency Service
Emergency hours are from 5pm to 8am. Emergency visits may be subject to an additional fee. We will tell you about any emergency fee before we are dispatched, so you can decide before any charge applies.
6. Scheduling, Access, and Your Home
- We give arrival windows rather than exact times. We will let you know if we are running late. We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, prior emergencies, or other circumstances outside our control.
- An adult (18 or older) who is authorized to approve the work must be present, or must have arranged access with us in advance.
- You confirm that you own the property or have the owner’s permission to authorize the work. If you rent, you are responsible for getting your landlord’s approval.
- Please provide safe, clear access to the work area, keep pets secured, and move valuables and fragile items away from the work area. We are not responsible for items that were not moved.
- We may decline or stop work if conditions are unsafe, including hazardous materials, aggressive animals, or unsafe structures. You will pay only for work already performed.
7. Cancellations and Rescheduling
- You can cancel or reschedule at no charge any time before a technician has been dispatched. Please give us as much notice as possible.
- If you cancel after a technician has been dispatched, or we arrive and cannot get access, the service-call or trip fee disclosed when you booked may apply.
- We may need to reschedule because of emergencies, weather, illness, or safety concerns. If we do, we will contact you as soon as possible and find a new time with you. Rescheduling is your remedy in that case.
- If your project is covered by New York home improvement contract law, you will receive a written contract and any cancellation rights that law requires. Nothing in this section limits those rights.
8. Payment
- Payment is due when the work is completed unless we agree otherwise in writing. Larger projects may require a deposit, which will be stated in your estimate.
- Unpaid balances more than 30 days past due may be charged interest at the lesser of 1% per month or the maximum rate allowed by New York law.
- A returned or dishonored payment may be charged the maximum fee allowed by New York law.
- If we must take collection action, you agree to pay reasonable collection costs, including attorney’s fees, to the extent allowed by law.
- We keep all rights available to us under the New York Lien Law for unpaid work and materials.
9. Parts and Fixtures You Supply
We are happy to install fixtures and parts you have already purchased. However, we do not warranty parts or fixtures we did not supply, and we are not responsible if they are defective, damaged, missing pieces, incompatible with your plumbing, or fail later. If extra labor or a return visit is needed because of a customer-supplied item, that time will be billed at our standard rates. Our workmanship warranty, if any, still covers how we installed it.
10. Existing Conditions and Older Plumbing
- We are responsible for the work we perform, not for the existing condition of your plumbing system. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, corrosion, deterioration, prior work by others, or parts of the system we did not work on.
- Older shutoff valves, fittings, and pipes can crack, leak, or fail when they are operated or touched during normal work. We will point out visible risks when we can. Necessary repairs caused by the pre-existing condition of these components will be quoted to you and are not our responsibility.
- Drain cleaning can reveal broken, collapsed, or root-filled lines. In rare cases, a drain cable can become stuck in a damaged line. If that happens, we will explain your options. The cost of retrieving equipment or repairing the damaged line is not included in the drain cleaning price.
11. Access Openings and Restoration
Reaching pipes sometimes requires opening walls, ceilings, floors, or ground. We will discuss this with you before we do it. Unless your estimate says otherwise, our price covers the plumbing work only. It does not include drywall finishing, painting, tile, flooring, cabinetry, concrete, or landscaping restoration.
12. Mold, Water Damage, and Hazardous Materials
We do not test for, remove, or remediate mold, asbestos, lead, or other hazardous materials. We are not responsible for mold or water damage that existed before our work, or that results from a leak or condition we did not cause. If we encounter suspected hazardous materials, we may stop work until they are addressed by a qualified professional. You agree to tell us about any hazards you know of before we begin.
13. Warranty
- Any warranty on our workmanship will be stated in writing on your estimate or invoice. Manufacturer warranties on parts and equipment we supply are passed through to you.
- Warranties do not cover damage caused by misuse, freezing, flushing or draining inappropriate items, water pressure or water quality problems, work by anyone other than Bulldog Plumbing, customer-supplied parts, or acts of nature.
- If you think something is wrong with our work, call us first. Please contact us promptly, and within 30 days of discovering the problem, so we can inspect it and make it right. Except for emergency steps to stop active damage, such as shutting off the water, please do not have someone else repair our work before we have had a chance to inspect it. Repairs by others may void any warranty.
- Except for the written warranties described above, and to the fullest extent allowed by law, we make no other warranties, express or implied.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by New York law:
- Bulldog Plumbing is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use of your home, temporary housing, lost wages or profits, or damage that grows worse because a problem was not reported promptly.
- Our total liability for any claim relating to a job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
- These limits do not apply to liability for gross negligence or willful misconduct, or to any liability that cannot be limited under New York law.
15. Your Responsibilities
You agree to give us accurate information about the problem and your property, to tell us about known issues and hazards, and to take reasonable steps to limit damage, such as shutting off the water, while you wait for service. To the extent allowed by law, you are responsible for claims that result from inaccurate information you give us, hazards you knew about but did not disclose, or your lack of authority to approve the work.
16. Job Photos
We may take photos of the work area to document conditions and the work performed. We will not publish photos that identify you or your home without your permission.
17. Reviews
Nothing in these Terms limits your right to share an honest review of our work. If you send us a review or testimonial, you allow us to display it on our website and social media. We only publish real reviews from real customers.
18. Using This Website
- Information on this website is general and is not a quote or a guarantee for your specific situation. Prices and availability are confirmed only when you book.
- The website, including its text, logo, mascot artwork, and photos, belongs to Bulldog Plumbing and may not be copied or reused without our written permission.

19. Resolving Disputes
- If you have a concern, contact us first. We will work with you in good faith to resolve it, and we ask that you give us 30 days to do so before taking formal action.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York. Any legal action must be brought in the state courts located in Monroe County, New York, including small claims court where eligible.
- To the extent allowed by law, any claim relating to our services must be brought within one year after the claim arises.
20. Events Outside Our Control
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, utility outages, supply shortages, or government actions.
21. General
- If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect.
- Nothing in these Terms takes away any right you have under law that cannot be waived.
- We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted when you booked your service applies to that service.
